ALK Technologies has unveiled CoPilot Live 7 GPS navigation for mobile phones and PDAs at the 12 World GSM Congress in Barcelona. The company has launched the latest generation GPS navigation software, named CoPilotLive 7 for mobile phones, which supports Microsoft Windows Mobile 6. The CoPilotLive 7 enables mobile operators, handset manufacturers and individuals to adjust their color settings, styles and features to suit their preferences or brand requirements. The software has redesigned 2D and 3D map views, which allow drivers to see their exact location while on the move. The CoPilotLive 7 has new Text-to-Speech voice commands with detailed instructions pronounced naturally in 13 different languages both Windows Mobile powered Pocket PCs and Smartphones. It has latest European digital mapping from NAVTEQ with accurate house number or 7-digit UK postcode, including Republic of Ireland, Spain, Portugal and Scandinavia. The CoPilot Live 7′s has powerful new desktop management, CoPilotCentral, which will allow customer to create personal color schemes, routes, trips and points of interest databases for downloading to their CoPilot or share with others. The CoPilot Central extend’s the mapping and trip planning to the desktop with powerful multi-stop pre-trip planning across Europe. It also allows customers to send their current location through SMS as well as a map of their current location through MMS. It has additional Live services also, which allow customers to download points of interest and local information, while on the move through mobile Internet. it has new walking and cycling guidance modes speed limit alerts and preloaded speed camera database.
