LG partners with Yahoo! to offer Yahoo! Go services on its mobile handsets

After Nokia, Samsung and Motorola, Yahoo! has partnered with LG Electronics to offer Yahoo! services on LG mobile phones. Yahoo!, a leading global Internet company has partnered with a leading worldwide provider of wireless mobile handsets, LG Electronics to distribute Yahoo! Go mobile services on LG mobile phones. LG will pre-load Yahoo! services, including Yahoo! Go for Mobile 2.0,Yahoo! Mail and Yahoo! Messenger on its mobile handsets. This partnership will allow LG customers to search Yahoo! Go 2.0 service on their mobile phones. This service will allow customers to navigate the selections of Yahoo! Go widgets, personal channels foe e-mail, local information and maps, news sports, finance, entertainment, weather, photo sharing and search. LG customers would be able to use Yahoo! innovative services and stay connected with their Internet community. According to Geraldine Wilson, general manager and vice president, of Yahoo!, the company is partnering with leading mobile manufacturing companies to bring innovative services to customers through a unique product design and ability to personalize with content across Internet and a reinvention of search on mobile phone through Yahoo! One Search. LG mobile phones with Yahoo! services would be available to customers through both mobile operators and direct distribution channels.
